Montreal InVivo, a health sciences and technologies cluster, is a non-profit organization created to promote innovation and creativity in the Life Sciences’ sector of the Greater Montreal area. Created in 2007, Montreal InVivo comprises now 620 organizations, 80 subsidiaries of global companies and over 43,000 employees.
With the highest concentration of students per capita in North America, Montreal and Montreal InVivo are well positioned to foster and promote cutting-edge research in life sciences and health technologies (LSHT).
Montreal InVivo’s unique cluster is strategically located in one of the few world cities where a company can pursue research into every phase of creating a new drug or therapy – from basic, pre-clinical research, through testing, to commercialization.
The region’s LSHT sector is a key driver, vital to Quebec’s economic future. LSHT embodies the best of knowledge and innovation in Montreal. It is also one of the economic sectors that carries the most leverage in the collective creation of wealth, notably in the number and quality of its jobs.
Supported by 11 institutions of higher learning, ranked first in Canada in number of research centres, and boasting the largest number of university students per capita, Montreal InVivo is a dynamic talent incubator for discovery in the Life Sciences.
