The Funding Working Group
Mission
Face the challenges in stimulating funding of the sector;
Sharpen the sector’s profile so as to favour the inflow of capital and the creation of investment opportunities.
Challenges
Favour the emergence of an integrated funding ecosystem for companies at all stages of development;
Eliminate barriers to foreign investment caused by the current tax environment (Section 116);
Increase the size, improve the performance and ensure the refinancing of existing and new funds;
Encourage conditions favourable to partnership between the big pharmas and the biotechs;
Increase access to funding for research before the startup stage.
