The Research and Innovation Working Group
Mandate
To encourage dialogue so as to strengthen exchange between the academic community and the private sector;
To mobilize actors for the achievement of precise, feasible aims.
Issues
Inadequate knowledge about commercialization amongst universities and hospitals;
The principle or concept of innovation features inadequately in the Quebec health system;
Recruiting and retaining scientists: are our research communities sufficiently stimulating in order to retain our scientists?
The lack of data bases with which to ensure international competitiveness;
The lack of partnership between the university community and the other actors in the cluster;
The under-utilization of our platforms.
