The purpose of early-stage clinical research is to obtain, very early in the development cycle of a new treatment or a new technology, the very first confirmations of their therapeutic value. It therefore allows the attributes of a new drug or a new technology to be identified in order to determine if they have the ability to represent a therapeutic solution of scientific, medical, societal and commercial value.
