A few years ago, the Québec life sciences sector was experiencing significant growth in terms of numbers of companies, employees and innovations developed and brought to market. So much that the Québec government launched its first iteration of the Québec Life Sciences Strategy to step up the development of the sector. The excitement generated by this strategy was truly palpable. It was also at this time that Montréal InVivo was consulting extensively with members of the ecosystem as part of its new strategic planning initiative.

One of the things that came out of these conversations was that there was no longer a large-scale, unifying and mobilizing event for the life sciences sector in Montréal. Ecosystem stakeholders were justifiably calling for the creation of such an event to showcase our companies and researchers, to do business and to learn more about the strengths and specificities of our business community.

In response to this clearly expressed need, Montréal InVivo set about to create EFFERVESCENCE, in collaboration with many pioneering co-organizers. It was an immediate success! The need for such an event was clearly demonstrated.

This year again, it is in the same spirit and driven by the same desire to meet the needs of meetings, learning and collaboration that the organizing committee has come together again and set up a unique program with several highlights, surprises and, especially, golden opportunities to develop your business over these two days.

I must say that I am particularly proud of the support of the Québec government and the record amount of sponsorships obtained from companies and institutions in the ecosystem. I am also very confident about the quality of the event in terms of both content and logistics. Despite the fact that previous years’ surveys have shown very high satisfaction rates each time, there is a little something missing to make it a resounding success: You!

This event was designed with you in mind, to meet your needs. The measure of success for all of us organizers is your participation in the event. I know that in Québec we tend to wait until the last minute to register, but think about the people who work hard to organize their sessions, confirm panelists and keynote speakers, come up with innovative ways to deliver their content, etc. Thank you in advance for showing your appreciation for the work already done and for getting your tickets to attend the 4th edition of EFFERVESCENCE.

I look forward to seeing you there!
