The most recent Training-skills-employment adequacy diagnosis for the life sciences and health technologies sector (LSHT) published in 2019 confirms the existence of a generalized shortage of professionals with IT skills and indicates that it is in the LSHT sector that this shortage is most glaring. After primary consultation with companies, we find that companies do not know about jobs related to AI and data science.

In a context of labor shortage, how to train and develop skills in data science and artificial intelligence within companies in the LSHT sector?

What are the roles of a data scientist, an expert in artificial intelligence or a data engineer?

What skills do they need to have in order to practice these professions of the future?

Organized by the Computer Research Institute of Montréal (CRIM), Montréal InVivo, Pharmabio Développement, Université de Montréal, Qualifications Québec and Collège Ahuntsic, this webinar will allow you to understand the context of data science and AI in 2021, the best profiles to get a start in this field as well as a presentation of specific cases applied to your sector. A question period will also take place at the end of the meeting.
